A Murder of Crows
(German Title: NaturNah: Mit Falken jagen)

A 30′ natural history documentary,
written & directed by Florian Dedio

Rostock Airport has a problem: it is home to thousands of crows that endanger airplanes during takeoff and landing. Crows are smart birds, and it is nearly impossible to scare them off.

The solution? hiring a falconer, who is to deter them from nesting here with his peregrine falcon.

“A Murder of Crows” explores the intricacies falconry, but also looks at other natural history aspects to be encountered on a small, rural airport in Germany.
