MONSTROUS!

What if monsters were real? What if we had tried and failed to co-exist with them, and had finally given them their own country to live in? Those monsters that did not make it to their promised land, well, we began hunting them down. Those monsters that had made it formed a society, complete with their very own television network.
MONSTROUS quickly became their most successful TV show: a reality TV showdown between monsters fighting against human persecution, against each other, for the chance to win a ticket to their promised land.
MONSTROUS began as an idea: what if not we, but the monsters were the victims? What if they had to fight to the last for a safe spot? What if it was us hunting them? And what if this was their form of reality TV.
My Canadian co-author Donovan Cerminara and I developed this concept into a series pilot script. We shot a trailer for it, to explore these concepts through improvisation.
